Awesome, it's Saturday at noon thirty, I'm a little buzzed and I get to party with KISS; it's going to be a pretty good weekend. This particular station was filled with rock and roll trivia for points, complete with name that tune, random questions and music video's...it was pretty full up. I got a few questions correct including the lead singer's name from Journey, so our team drank a little to celebrate. As our team goes from station to station around base we find ourselves consuming a little bit of alcohol and pork product at each stop. Thank god this contest is not timed, because this whole new guy thing isn't working out well for our navigational skills. We arrive at one station, price is right with plinko at the end for points. Price is Right...sweet...I rock at this game and all the items up for bid are hard liquor bottles; this is going to be our teams big point score right?...WRONG. This event can only be described as the complete and utter destruction of our beloved team#5. I will spare everyone details of the actual game and it's rules (probably because you'll think we all belong in an AA meeting), but it was brutal. Team #5 survives...barely. Here's a quick snapshot of the game and us attempting to walk to the next station afterwards:
So, a few more stations into this game and team#5 performance is on such a sharp decline, precipice even, that we have come to a team decision: we are not going to win, let's change our strategy to survival and making it to the end. We finally arrive at the last station, the squadrons hooch, where a pig roast is waiting for us. There is much rejoicing from team#5:
The day belongs to Team#5! The results are in, Teams#5: Dead Last. It's a good thing we changed our team strategy. In the end, the event was a great success and many stories to be shared. Like the pig, this guy was well done and looking for a pillow and bed...
